Quantum Of Solace (2008)
There are arguably links between the short story and the 2008 film’s plot. In the story, Bond’s mission revolves around a British girl romantically involved with a KGB agent. This concept is used at the end of the film to reveal the truth of Vesper Lynd’s betrayal. Vesper’s boyfriend, Yusef Kabira, is found to be an agent of Quantum, tasked with seducing high-ranking female intelligence agents, faking his own abduction to force the women to become double agents in order to save him.
Casino Royale (2006)
The literary character, Solange, is reused in the 2006 film. In Fleming’s short story, she’s introduced when Bond’s daydreams of his former lover; in the film, Solange becomes Bond’s lover and is the doomed wife of Alex Demitrios.
