Live and Let Die

Live and Let Die

License to Kill (1989)

The book’s exotic fish warehouse sequence is repurposed in the 1989 film – Sanchez and his crew lower Felix Leiter into an aquarium containing sharks, where he is mauled to death. In the book he survives but is maimed.

For Your Eyes Only (1981)

The book gives the 1981 film a key scene. In the novel, Bond and Solitaire are dragged behind Mr. Big’s boat; the film sees Bond and Melina Havelock dragged behind Kristatos’ boat.

Live and Let Die (1973)

While the book plot is followed closely by the film, the film does not replicate the serious and dark tone of the novel, instead fitting into the ‘Blaxsploitation’ genre popular in film at the time.
